The Portasharp is an extremely lightweight, portable and accurate drill bit sharpener that will sharpen all HSS drill bits up to 1/2" in diameter. The patented Bitclamp allows for precise clamping of the bit, ensuring the correct approach angle to the grinding surface. The unique reversible design produces both 90° & 118°point angles. An adjustable, removable polypropylene Grindstone Guard allows you to work safely, and will not shatter even in the unlikely event of a stone failure.

Made of Minlon^TM (same as Bitclamp), a nylon based mineral filled material, the Base provides excellent bearing/ bushing characteristics, along with with superior rigidity and impact resistance. The standard Grindstone that comes supplied with the Portasharp sharpens all HSS drills. Its shank is cast in place and every stone is dressed for concentricity. The grindstone can be re-dressed at any time by using a carbide tipped bit.
